Tuna bite on and a nice Thresher

The tuna off Chatham have been cooperating lately. Attached is a picture of a nice 70" Bluefin we landed this week east of Chatham. We also did a little sharking and got a 300lb. Thresher that gave us a great battle. They are pretty exciting for the captain when it is time to act as wireman! Got to watch out for that tail. The tail on this one was over 6'. Sharking can be a great way to finish a tuna trip. If you are interested in this let me know and I can have appropriate gear and bait on board. Striper are holding steady, we have found some good light tackle action around Monomy lately. The Savage Gear eels seem to be the preferred bait of choice.
